The joys of owning Opels
Posted On 07/06/2008 18:26:32

My family and I just took a trip up to the mountains, which we do usually at least once a month. Well this time we brought our 1970 Opel Kadett. As we were driving back home, we took a scenic route that was bumpy and curvey. So we were flying over these bumps and smacking things up along the sides of the kadett. Well, while doing so, I guess something got caught up in the idle jet. All the way home dad had to maintain a steady speed or else the car would stall and we would be stuck in the middle of the road. It was pretty funny how we would be driving alonga nd if someone in front of us was going slow, he would get all anxious and rev the engine and speed up. Even though it was a little annoying, I couldn't help but smile. Everything is good now, we're home and the problem is fixed. It was a good trip and we all had a good time. =)

smart car

I just got a ride in an awesome little machine. It's called the smart car and this one was a second generation, yellow on black, piece of heaven. It was so much fun to sit in the front seat and feel the whole car lunge forward and back every time it shifted. and the horn... haha I seriously believe it is an air horn bolted to the bottom of the car. It sounds so funny. The interior is actually really roomy for how small the car is.. as long as you don't mind not having a back seat. Over all, I thought it was tons of fun and I loved watching peoples' faces as we drove by. We even got "that car is sick" by a few guys standing on the side of the road. I had a lot of fun and think it would be so cool to have one as my own someday.  There's pictures under my profile if you want to see it.
