We got the oil changed we inteded on getting, also got a new transmission solenoid pack, and air filter.

What they told me I still need to do:

First Oil Change
Posted On 04/18/2008 02:10:08

I bought my car in Oct 07, and it is now time for my first oil change. In the last 3000 miles I've manged to get my car stuck in the snow at least 6 times. I pulled my bumper off (or nearly off) on a tiny snow/ice pile. Developed a small transmission leak, which I think was caused by one of the times I got stuck and it was slammed from drive to reverse once. Also I bought a new battery in Feb because it had died, and a jump wouldn't even revive it. Took the old battery out and had it tested at Advanced Auto, where the machine said the battery was deader than dead. Though that was not the answer, and I had no idea what to do next. Had the car towed for $75 to a Firestone where they plugged in a new fuse and charged me $35. That was quite disappointing. And I bought two tires for $330 because my rear ones were bald, wonder if they had anything to do with my getting stuck all the time?

So tomorrow is my first oil change! I'm going to go full synthetic from here on out because when I was in the market for a car and researched this one, I found out that the 2.7 Liter V6 is prone to engine sludge. Also while we're at the shop we are going to have them see what they can't do about that tranny leak, and my poor bumper.

Tomorrow I'll update again after the trip to the shop.

P.S. Don't worry, the bumper is still ON, it just isn't connected on the sides. I'm not driving around without a bumper.

P.P.S. Only going to the shop because the dealership gave me a gift certificate for their shop. Might as well use that. I'll be doing most of the work on my car myself or having mesarius *my bf* help me with it.
