FAST Chevelle
Posted On 03/22/2009 20:04:12

Today I got my car out for the second time this year since it's beginning to warm up a bit.  I was out to cruise awhile and get the feel of the car back into me when a chevelle comes flying up behind me.  Now m car has a mild 302 with an automatic c4 tranny.  We were going around 50-60(i dont have a speedometer) and he suddenly passes me going way faster than I could have expected.  Once the sun was out of my eyes, I took a better look at it and noticed that fat tires on the back and realized that it was probably a drag car that I had seen.  Surprising I wasn't jealous at all, but I had a ton of respect for that car.

Working on Budget
Posted On 04/20/2008 13:27:19

Well my dad and I bought our mustang awhile back when neither of us really knew much about cars.  After having the car for a week or so a person pointed out that there were only four studs on the axels in the back.  At first we were going to get a plate convert but we decide to go full out and get a new rearend.  At first I considered a 9 in but then I thought about like this: we have a 302 without and mods and it will never have to be as stong as a 9.  So we ended up taking an 8.8 posi from a foxbody.  How much was it? FREE.  the WHOLE thing was free.  now thats a way to be on a budget.....with luck.  So we just got the rearend from he powdercoater, we already got the axels ($80), and we got some gears, wheels, tires.  the only thing where we didnt get a deal on was the gears.  The axels were from a truck in a junkyard.  want details, just ask
