haha, your history teacher was close, but the vette has been around longer. The Mustang was in production in 1964, as compared to the Corvette which was 1953. I think he meant first affordable performance car.. because in that case that's a completely true statement.
haha, no that's a sweet car. I'm like you, I know a lot about cars yes though, matinence is a pain. I realize all cars have their problems, but I have never had a problem with any American car my family has owned. We've owned German, and our street is full of Japanese, but the American cars are so choice. They're always solid performers. Yeah, maybe the M5's interior is nicer, but in the end, I'm driving a product of my own country.
On the complete other hand, no one can build cars like Germany. They know exactly what to do. Good call on the benz btw. A lot of VWs and Audis are Euro Trash. BMW and Mercedes are where it's at. I hope you can put pics up soon!
ps.. i rode in a 2005 C55 AMG. Awesome! Similar performance to the V, but completely different car.
