hey. I know you may not know this, because it's kind of specific to the Mustang, but with my AEM Cold Air Intake, could I buy a different manufacturer's throttle body and connect it to the intake? They come in different sizes (70-75mm), but AEM doesn't make one. BBK, Dragon, and Accufab all have TBs for my car, I just wonder if they will fit.
Yea I know what you mean. I'm actually considering a cat-back or something just for a throatier sound, or a giac-chip for power, but nothing extreme. But I like the special factory cars, aka a Saab 9-3 Viggen, VW R32, Merc Benz Black series and such
haha thanks. I figured the chances of me actually buying a GTO at $17 grand were low, given that I don't have $17 grand. So basically I decided to stay true to the Mustang roots and put up the GT500 grille, especially since I'm finally modding the stang.
What are your thoughts on a centrifugal supercharger (like a vortech) as compared to a traditional supercharger?
Those AWDs are tough stoplight to stoplight racers. I knew a guy that had one only mildly modded and he could toast much more powerful cars 0-50mph. It was probably only a low 14sec car in the 1/4 mile, but launched like a beast, so it appeared like it was much quicker than it was.
Yeah, from a dig these cars are insanely quick, their complete and total weekness is a rolling start though like you said. I have a roommate driving a mildly modified Subaru WRX and we've left Nissan Z-cars and Supras for dead with that thing from a dead stop only to have them blast past us later. I still like AWD though for that thrown-back-in-the-seat sensation you get taking off at every stop light, they're fun in snow too.
