Torque :)
Posted On 04/10/2008 20:03:14 by apolloGT
Ah, tonight was awesome. I had the opportunity to drive the CTS-V, and of course I was presented with a straightaway. I wasn't watching my speed, but in my 1st to 2nd shift, I had so much power I fishtailed in 2nd. That was so awesome. 400hp and 400 lb-ft of torque never felt so awesome. (Traction Control kept me in tact if you were wondering).... Read More

Money talks, but going too cheap can kill

My beloved 1Gb DSM is sitting dead in my driveway, much to my displeasure.  That car has a long history of unloving owners and now I'm the one dealing with the effects.
Brief history on the beast:The car itself is a 1993.  Those familiar with DSMs will recognize this as the first full production year with the 7-bolt motor, a motor infamous for crankwalk.  My girlfriend bought the car in 2006 from a guy named Robby, who bought it from his sister.  Sometime during their pose... Finally spring is on the way! It seems like forever that its been winter. There was too much snow for my taste this winter. I really hope that we do not get more. This summer should be a blast, whether I have to go to... Read More

Mid March run in the CTS-V

This weekend was a good one for the annual "everyone bring out your summer car day" in the north.  The sunny weather and mild temps allowed for some fun encounters.  I was in the passenger seat of a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V, and we were lucky enough to play around with a Saleen Mustang S281 for a little while.  It was all pretty safe because there wasn't much traffic, and it was in a rural area. It was just fun to open the V up, especially the 2nd to 3rd throw, which is around 70mph.  The Saleen... Read More

My First Car
Posted On 12/10/2007 10:19:04 by Sheryl
My First Car was a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda--Used Silver with Baby blue interior. It was a gem of a car-- auotmatic with the bubble back. Wow what a car eventhough it was 1970 at the time. I put in .25 worth (cost per gallon of gas then) and made a dozen drive through at the local Frisch's Big boy on Markland Ave in Kokomo Indiana. The gas station was right across the street. What fun in those days!! Anybody else have memories of this?? What was your first car? Price of gas at that time?... Read More
