Default uni project

hello,

my name is Orsi, and I am new here. I joined this forum, because I find it very interesting and I hope that you can help me. I am a student from Vienna and we are currently working on a project at my university.

In my course "Sources of Innovation" we carried out a survey about the latest trend in automotive seating rails and we found out that most people feel uncomfortable with complex operating devices when they want to change their seat position.

There are users for example who often have to drive different cars and they have troubles with searching around for the seat gear in order to adjust their seating position.

There are, of course, existing electronic solutions for the problem, however, they are very complex and difficult to use.
So the trend seems to get us back to the most simple and easy solutions.

Our main goal is to find users who have solved this problem through own ideas.
I would really appreciate your help and advice, where I can find such innovative people who have done such changes at their car seats. Also other comments and ideas are more than welcome
Please feel free to contact me here or by email (h0351667@wu-wien.ac.at).

Thank you very much for your help and best wishes.
Orsi

p.s.:
You might find similar posts in other forums as well, PLEASE don't be upset if it is the case. I and my group are very enthusiastic about gathering the most information by reaching as many people as we can, in order to find those who can help us.

The biggest problem is the controls are usually on the side of the seat and you have to hunt for them. Put it on the console or if the car has NAV place it as a screen on the screen option.

with the controls on the side of the seat, I sometimes hit the wrong one, which screws everything up and i have to get it just right.

I agree with the buttons on the dash or on the nav screen

thank you for the comments.
I am glad that you can confirm our results.
What do you think, are there any people (maybe your selves) who are simply not satisfied with the existing solution on the market adn have therefore developed their own innovative solution with regards to adjusting car seats? Where could I find those users?
