I'd actually argue that roll racing takes no skill whatsoever, it's all about the car. Racing from a dig requires some launch skills, so I definitely like that better.

I would then argue that circuit racing requires even more skill as you then have to control your car on its limit of grip at high speed and maintaining a lead once you get there as other drivers pressure you as much as possible at 200mph. It's one thing to drive fast in a straight line, but to take those same speeds to a corner is a different matter all together.
I appreciate all forms of racing, however some require less driver skill than others.

Agreed.. but he's talking about street racing, which, correct me if I'm wrong, I've never seen or heard about a legitimate circuit race on the streets (illegally)... it's too hard to pull off.

It could be done with enough planning, but yeah I will agree that'd be a little hard to pull off. It'd be hella awesome if someone did, though.

Do you get SPEED channel? There is plenty of street circuit racing action on there. I understand that it's usually CART or some type of GT or LeMans class cars. However, just because it's not Jimbob from down the street with his Camaro that has ladder bars and glasspacks doesn't mean it's not circuit racing on the streets.

That's why I inserted "(illegally)". I've seen a few circuit races on tv and stuff, but yeah.. when it comes to just two random people, it's impossible and just an overall bad idea.

its actually quite fun to street race
although it takes about a week planninng and about 4 other cars that arnt even in the race it takes a hell of a lot more skill than most people think mostly because not only are u going 100- 120 moh on back roads and crowded streets you also have to take into consideration hitting one thing(a car lightpost stopsign person wall) and u could possibly end ur life and a few people around u so mostly its for the rush but i still love it cause in those few moments of dodging cars u really see how some people react in tough situations

yeah see that's just a bad idea. put yourself in danger, fine.. but others.. no. That's irresponsible and selfish. I'll all fine with a stoplight race, because that's just the American way.. but doing fast and furious on the streets is a really bad idea... not to mention rather amateur.

street racing is just to show whose the bigger man, but I must admit I do it occasionally but at night when no cops or pedestrians are out. I might even go tonight.
Hit me up if your in the D.C. metro area (little far away in NC, lol) and I can do a quick plan (safe) race, or just come and visit Summit Point Raceway.
