Default SCCA Members?

How many people on this forum are, or wish to be a member of SCCA?

This is an organization I've been gaining more and more interest in, and I'm pretty set on joining once I get up to Detroit for college, so I thought I'd check for other SCCA members, and if you're from the St. Louis Region, or S.I.R. send me a PM, maybe we could hang out sometime.

I'm a current and forever SCCA member. I'll never stop going to the autocrosses and solo events. Some of the best Sundays of my life were spent with the SCCA racing team.

I'm not a member but someday I would love to be, I just don't live close enough to an SCCA driving school to get my license.

Default Cost?

Sweet, I thought I'd find some SCCA members on here.
I was wondering, how much would you say it costs just to be a member?
Not that I'm to worried about the cost, but if it's cheap enough, I'll just join the St. Louis Region next summer and rep the STL till I move into the Detroit section, I'm sure transfers are possible...

SCCA member for 8 years! NCCC member for 4 years!

It will cost you around 50 bucks to joing SCCA and a local region.

The points are regional and national. Your national points are for any track and region.

To do low speed events (auto-X) you do not need a competition license just a drivers license. This will be tracks with speeds under 70 or 80 MPH.

To run high speed events (large road course) where speeds will exceed 70 or 80 MPH you will have to take a driving school or run so many low speed events and have a license instructor ride with you to sign off on the high speed license. They were going to make some changes on this so check the rule book on what the criteria is now.
