Default What Car Cleaning Supplies do you use? (POLL)

OK There is a lot of different car cleaning brands out there and I think I have tried just about all of them and was just curious what others are using.

I use a mixture of Adams and Zaino depending on what I am working on.

I don't spend much money on my stuff being a student. I just buy armor-all wash, turtle wax, micro fiber cloth, and occasionally wheel cleaner. For the interior I just use armor-all wipes (cloth, overall, glass, etc). For my budget it works pretty well.

That Adams stuff looks nice. How do you like it?

I use a variety of products and I also feel like I've tried everything. I have some stuff that I've bought in bulk that has been really good. My all time favorite is Zymol though. My experiences with Zaino have been limited to Clear Seal which I quite like and I intend to try more of their products. I generally like Meguairs and 3M stuff too. 3M products are the best for use with a high speed buffer, I've found.

I was pretty impressed with the Adams stuff however I do not think it is any better than Zaino. the Zaino is a lot easier to work with and cost less.

If you buy the Zaino kit and do the 3 step process and keep building the top coat up it really looks good and will feel like glass. It is amazing what Zaino can do on a black or dark colored car. The best thing is once you get a good buildup on the car you can clean it by just rinsing the car off or using a final detail spray.

I only use a high speed bufffer if I have to wetsand a area or to buff after painting. For removing small defects I use different compounds and a Orbital buffer.

Here is a picture of a buddies truck I did with the one pass using the orbital buffer and the Adams stuff. This truck had not been washed in over 2 years and I do not know if it had ever been waxed. You can see I did the right half and on the left half what it looked like before I started.

This photo shows the scratches that were down the side of the truck (on left) and on the right (cab area) you can see it looks like glass after a little work with the buffer.

After a little work this truck that he paid 4K for looked like new!

You get the GN back on the road bring it over and I will let YOU use it all to clean it up. I will set in a lawn chair and drink a beer while pointing out all the spots you missed!

You better enter another sweepstakes!! I don't think that is enough to clean the GN.

I've been a zymol customer since I was 13 and have always been in awe of a $5000 car wax, now $8416. Their least expensive wax (about $50) is really high quality and it lasts quite a while, but needs an application of a cleaner wax first, unless your car has been a garage queen since the last application. I couldn't justify buying the $8000 wax, but the $50 product is actually well worth it, in my opinion.
