Default Not such a motorcycle, but a cycle!

Well as most people know i dont drive yet. So i'm working with what i can have ahaha. I've got a kink gap 2009.

I picked up the bike on sale for 300, it should have been 350..

Looked like this..

then i was riding in philly, and my chain popped and i was far from home, so i went to a local bike store to get it tightened, turns out, the chain actually broke at 3 places. haha. so i got a good chain. it was 44.99, got the pedals for 25.00, and the seat for 70.00 cause its limited edition, got a seat post for 25.

Shes a beauty. haha.

I know nothing about bikes, but I like the paintjob! Overall, I think it's a great idea to get your hands into something mechanical until you get your own car. I used to work on little electric rc cars.. they were tons of fun, and you feel the satisfaction of getting to see your work come to life.

Yeah thats exactly what im doing, i've also been buying tools and stuff cause my dad owns a shop and he said once im like 17 or 18 hes gonna set up my own little section in there, i already do alot to cars there, the hardest i've done, well the most time consuming was doing a headgasket and powersteering pump in a oldsmobile alero, Then it came back like a week later and alot more went bad on it. haha. But yeah. that was a pain. But like i said I love working on cars, its awesome.

I have my doubts about disk brakes being better on a bicycle. I think people just assume they are because it's more complicated technology... but disk brakes unless they are the size of the wheel, don't have near the leverage of a standard wheel brake.

... "so much more better" ok then.. i still think the disk brake is better (this is from negative experiences with the U - brake) one time i was riding my bike but my bike kicked up some dirt and it got stuck in my U - brake and well.. i crashed into my neighbors boat's propellor.. i had a huge gash on my thigh... it hurt... (and yes the brake was out of the water) less stuff can get caught in disk brakes and they last longer...
