Question regarding the Hayabusa

I applied for a job at AutoZone and I'm considering buying a Hayabusa and getting my motorcycle liscense if I get the job. My question is this: Is the turbocharger a stock/dealer part or is it aftermarket?

The turbocharger is aftermarket as far as I'm aware of, however the bike is rated at 195hp stock for the 2008 model. If you're just starting out with motorcycles I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend starting off with something smaller. That much power for even an intermediate rider can get out of hand really quick, especially at high revs because no matter how hard you try you wouldn't keep the front wheel on the ground. If you want a Suzuki, I'd recommend starting with the GSX-R 650, it'll still pull 180mph flat out with half the displacement and more manageable power. I have a buddy with a Honda CBR600F4 and it's more than enough to smoke a Z06 Vette and the Supras going around here.

i'm not particularly interested in Suzuki, it's just that Suzuki make some of the best crotch rockets, and after looking it up, it's too expensive also. I guess I'll look for something cheap and fast. The dealer around here only stocks Suzuki, Yamaha, and Polaris.

I did some searching around on manufacturer websites and Suzuki actually has the cheapest bikes. Yamaha and Honda start brand new around $2500 more for similar displacement. I would like to get a Honda or Aprilia myself.

I would have to second Mesarius. In fact, I don't even advise being on a 600. No matter what brand. I know it may not look cool, but look for a 250 or 500 sport bike. They are cheap and you won't be too bent out of shape when you lay it down. Trust me. You WILL lay it down. Wouldn't you rather do that on a bike that you spent $1,000 on than $10,000? Bite your pride for 6 mo. to a year riding a beater. Then upgrade to something a little more impressive with all the money you saved.
