That doesn't sound like a bad idea, but the only thing about buying a modified performance car from a private seller is abuse.. just make sure she's in good shape!

thats true, makes sense im leaning towards the g8 right now only becuase they have that look. i will look at the cts-v those are really nice actually havent really thought of those! But right now im am leaning towards the g8. thanks for the recomendation.

Anytime. Keep me updated! If you like automatics, the choice is easy... G8 is your car. Having said that, the CTS-V is a 6 speed, but significantly faster. 5.3 0-60mph compared to 4.7.

Still though.. 5.3 beats my Mustang.

For the record, I hate recommending my own cars, but you can get a Cadillac CTS-V for really cheap. Like.. 400hp, 30,000 miles, $24,000. It has it's problems with axle hop, but there are cheap fixes for it, a good after market support from niche vendors, and style/sophistication that you wont get with any other car except the G8. I joined the Cadillac forums, and those guys are great fun.. after a chip tune and exhaust, you can have 360 rear wheel horsepower... worth a thought

For the record, now is the time to buy a domestic.. new or used. They're giving em away.

what kind of car would you recomend for 32k and under ie: anything from a g8 to civic si what would you recomend?

hmm.. that's a really tough decision. You can do a lot with 32 grand. The G8 GT is an awesome car.. and it's got loads of power, comfort, and drivability all year round. Does it have to be new? If not, you can get a Corvette C5 Z06 for a great price, and those can do 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. Because you live up north, you probably want something that you can drive all year round. The G8 GT really is a solid bet, especially with GM employee pricing. If you're looking to have some money for mods, I gotta say, I love Mustangs. The new Mustang GT, although not as sophisticated as those other cars, is still wicked fun and fast, but put some snow tires on, and you can drive it in winter no problem.

Nice. The STi is a solid car, and so is the evo. you can't go wrong there!
