Default Stock C6 Z06 on stock tires runs 10s 1/4 mile!

A man in his completely stock C6 Corvette Z06 on stock runflat tires ran 10.98 at 129 mph 1/4 mile time and sets an official record for a completely stock mass production car.

You can read more at AutoBlog.com and the guy's original forum post at CorevetteForum.com

That's pretty impressive. I wonder what number categorizes a car as "mass production"

Wow at first I though no way but then I remembered the magazines tested them in the low 11s. So high 10s isnt much of stretch with a good driver and ideal weather conditions. Chevy sure knows how to make someone look foolish for wasting money on a Ferrari.
