Maybe I'm biased but from pretty much 2000 up Buick's have been for old people. Cadillac is definitely the brand to keep out of the two.. but I guess they're keeping both. I would've chopped GMC because whoever buys a GMC will have no problem buying a nice optioned out Chevy truck.. whereas Pontiac had special models such as the G8 etc.

I think both Buick and Cadillac are very important to GM. Buick has topped JD Power reliability surveys for years, which GM really needs. While I am unhappy that GM is axing the Pontiac line, I can see why they did it. The line has been trimmed down severely. The G6 is a very average vehicle at best; the G8 while in my personal opinion is great car was launched about 3 years too late and is experiencing poor sales; and obviously the Solstice isn't selling enough to warrant keeping.
I would really like to see the G8 stay on in some capacity... but I doubt that will happen with the way things are today.
Good luck, GM!

You only dislike Chevy because they are the competitor to the Mustang, though :P

I've never really been a Pontiac fan, but it'll be sad to see a company with so much heritage go the way of the dodo. Maybe I'll take out a business loan and buy Saab. I like Saab, it'd be a terrible waste if nobody buys them. I don't care much for what Hummer's become, but I'd like to see them return to their roots, if somebody is willing to to do that.
