That's true, but considering the underpinnings of the XLR-V is essentially a ZR1 hard to convertible, I would think with some electrical work I should be able to swap in a Z06 or ZR1 six speed to that Northstar V8, so far as I know there aren't too many differences between that V8 and the LS9.

he meant that the Supercharged Northstar has a lot in common with the LS9.

Although the Northstar is not an LS engine. It's also a lot heavier, and I'm pretty sure the piston walls are not as thick as the ZR1's. The ZR1 also has a bunch of other goodies like a dry sump oiling system etc
