I think my favorite racing game is Grand Turismo 4. How about you?

Funny you say that, because I just purchased a used PS2 on ebay last week for the sole purpose of playing GT4. The previews of GT5 look sa-weet, too bad the PS3 is so damned pricey

Haven't played the last couple of Nascar games on ps2, but was loving '06 but got tired of it eventually. Was good at short tracks for some reason, but wasn't good at drafting, so I'd get left in the dust at places like Daytona.

There is no contest. Gran Turismo 4 is the best racing game ever. But it looks like it will be dethroned by Gran Turismo 5 Prologue soon. Check out the video of it I posted. The graphics looks so real.

That video is impressive. I don't see myself buying a $400 console, but that game has me thinking about it.

I'm an xbox guy, I'll have to go with Forza 2.

I'm a fan of all the Gran Turismos (having conquered all of them), but these days my vote is for Test Drive Unlimited (mainly because I don't have a PS2 anymore).

yeah I have that one. It's ok, but the roads are annoying as all heck. it's so hard not to crash if you break like 150. My favorite would have to be Forza Motorsport 2 on 360.. that's pretty good. Project Gotham Racing isn't half bad either.

The cool bit about TDU is there's a decent amount of realism (like crashing if you do 150 on a twisty road). The detail on the cars, and in the environment is quite decent. I have it on computer, with a hot-rodded graphics card, so it looks even better. Plus I like playing with my collection of 6-digit supercars (kinda wish I could do that in real life ).
