Hi,
I am interested in buying a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190e or a 1996 Mercedes E230. The 190 has done 177000 kms and the E230 has done 99000 kms. Can someone give me a check list of the points that I need to check in these cars to access their condition. I can do the normal checks like checking the smoke, sludge in the oil compartment, transmission operation etc. Is there some website or manual that can give me the exact things to check in these cars? Are Mercedes maintenance intensive?

I am a student and I dont want to get stuck with a car that might give me issues.

Secondly, How is Volvo as a car? Does it require alot of maintenance? Or does it keep on going like a nissan or honda? I have heard, the saying... 'No one gets laid with a Volvo', But, i can prove it wrong
