Default Going on a roadtrip

Haven't posted on here in a while, so I'm not really sure who still checks in...

Anyway, I'm heading out on a road trip at the end of this week from Toronto, Canada to Southern California. It's about 2500miles, and planning to take about 3 days. A good friend is coming with me who I trust to do some of the driving. Going to be driving down in my 1997 Cadillac Deville Concours, a nice comfortable car that should be an easy drive.

I'm trying to decide whether to cut down to the Southern states and take I-40, which I imagine to be a flatter drive, or take I-80 through Utah and Colorado.. I'm leaning towards the flatter drive... any opinions/experience?

Can you take i70? I love that drive from Utah to Denver. If not, I would suggest going through Colorado anyways, hell I might move from Chicago to there one day
