LOL Yea you are missing what they did not tell you!
1. The test shown in the video above was designed to promote the car and try and prove that it was safe. The car you see hitting the merc in a offset crash was done at a low speed (30MPH TOTAL i do recall) that is 15MPH per vehicle. I hope that is correct, I am trying to go from memory here.
2. The head on wall hit was at high speed and as mentioned the car was reinforced like a damn roll cage in a race car.
3. The problem is the car has little to no crumple zone in a impact. What this means is when the vehicle hits a object (a wall, another car,Etc) there is nothing to absorb energy from the impact. If the vehicle does not absorb the energy the passengers in the vehicle will! This is what will kill the passengers of the car, their body will take the energy from the crash, this will result in death.
The car does hold together very good for as small as it is however the energy has to go somewhere and instead of it disapating in the destruction of the car it is going to the passengers!
