Default Lexus LX570 vs. Escalade Platinum vs. Benz GL550

They all have over 380 horsepower.
They all have over five liters.
They all have V8 engines.
They all cost over $70,000.
They are all full-size luxury SUV's.
They all have a standard navigation system.
They all have a standard rearview camera.
They all get from 0-60mph in well under 8 seconds.

Which is your preference? (Note that if you choose the Escalade, then you'll have to get the 2WD model.)

I'd take the Escalade Platinum. It's got the most amount of power as well as a standard DVD entertainment system. A very upscale interior. My second choice would likely be the Lexus. Its cabin is library-quiet. It's roomy and high-quality. My third choice is the GL550, but all three are decent cars.

I don't see why I'd have the get the 2WD model for choosing the Escalade..

haha, but if that's the rule, it will influence my pick. I'll take the MB GL550.. a 2WD SUV in the north is pointless. Mercedes makes a powerful car, and I tend to look at Lexus as a boring manufacturer.

I really like the GL. I think the design is classy while still being agressive, the interior is beautiful and power is quite sufficient on the 550. So, I think that would be my choice, although the Escalade would be a close second. There are just so many of them on the roads here now.

I really like the LX, they look very sophisticated. The off-road aspect of the vehicle exceeds the MB and the Cadillac. I really like the looks of it.

agreed. the lx570 was built not only for luxury and power but also for off-road. it's no range rover but it still has some potential.
