Sitting in and riding in are different. I've sat in a few, but I think it's riding in one that really counts. What really qualifies as an exotic anyways?

I've ridden in a good deal of super sedans, but nothing crazy.. haha.. BMW M3 and Lexus IS-F.. which are not really exotics, so none.

I used to own a McLaren F1... along with few other cars that would be considered exotics.

...actually now that I think about it... that may have been a dream.

I think your definition of "Exotic" is more leaning towards just a rare car. In my opinion, a '67 Shelby GT500KR is a muscle car, an extremely rare and beautiful one at that. A smart car.. is well.. different, but I wouldn't call it an exotic.

An exotic to me is a rare car, but also has unique/aggressive style, a solid engine, and usually (but not always) a crazy price tag to match. So I'd say a Lotus Elise, a Ford GT, a Lamborghini Murcielago, a Corvette ZR1, a Ferrari F430 etc.. you get the picture.. are all exotics.

I've stuck my head inside an early model Viper R/T, stood next to a Ford GT, had a Lamborghini Gallardo drive past me and I've seen two others through a showroom window, same with the Porsche Carrera GT, and I once saw a Ferrari F40 drive past me in the opposing direction traffic, that is the extent of my exotic car interaction.

I've had the pleasure of riding in lotus elises and lotus 7s at autocrosses. I've gotten rides in a smart car (not exotic really), Mercedes AMGs, Shelby Cobras, Aston Martin Vanquish, and in a Porsche cayman and a Ferrari F430.. otherwise.. I'm not sure if any of the other cars I've been in are considered exotics.

Ok, well everyone's definition of Exotic is different but here's my list:

Driven:
Ford GT
Shelby GT500
Ferrari 550 Maranello *
Ferrari 360 Modena *
Porsche 911 Turbo *
Porsche 911 GT2 *
Ferrari 348 *
Shelby Cobra (Replica) *
Rolls Royce Silver Seraph*
Aston Martin DB7 *
Aston Martin Vanquish*

* means driven only around a parking lot
I can't remember how many I have just sat in, it's only memorable when you drive them!
