Default Auto Trivia

Since I enjoy the automotive knowledge threads so much, I feel it only right to start a general trivia portion. The first question is one that I am kind of bias toward.

How many years was there an actual production model for the Pontiac GTO?

Hmmm well there's 1964-1974. That's 11 model years plus 2004-2006 which is 3 more model years. So I guess the answer is 14.

Nope, sorry. Not quite that many.

Again, this is actual model years, not to include years listed as an option.

Correct. The GTO was an option on the Lemans in 64, 65, 72 & 73. in 74 it was an option on the Ventura. Actual model years were 66-71 and 04-06.

That's correct. The base engine for that year was 194 6-cylinder as well as the L61 230ci 6-cylinder option. No way to tell how many of each were produced but out of the 76,860 Chevelle SS's made in 64, there were 9,775 6-cylinder optioned cars. Like it or not, SS doesn't automatically make it a street terror like everyone thinks. The lowly 6 remained an option until 66, when the 396 was implemented and all SS's were V8.

What is the correct model code for the 99-02 Nissan Skyline GTR?
