What if you had $12,000 and no car
Okay, lets just say you have $12,000 to spend and no chance of financing. You have no car and really really need one for work/school!! What would you buy with your $12,000?

97-2004 pontiac GTP, bonneville, Buick regal GS, Buick Park Ave ULTRA, with 3800 series I or II oe III engine or the supercharge.
Try and stay away from the northstar engine. very costly to repair/parts. engine are know for many problem. the plastic intake will air leak sometime. Over heating and trans issue once over 100,000 miles. Remember a car will last forever if service and maintain regularly.

You'd be working too much to keep gas in it to ever have time to drive it... Meanwhile I'm cruisin' in my Prius getting in good with all the tree hugger chics
... but of course I'd have a midengine rear-drive V8 setup taking the place of the rear seats that I can switch on to embarrass those cocky Mustang kids

I bought my '96 B3000 for $2500, so if you could find a deal like that, you would have plenty to spend on it or something else.

Stock 98 cobra. Or a 89-93 fox body and dump the rest of the money into making the interior immaculate. Then Do a few things to the engine, some paint, and rims.
