Gears Garage Meet
Would anyone be interested in going to a Gears Garage meet sometime next year? I was thinking we could aim for sometime around July/August. We would obviously have to find a good location, but I think it would be cool to get 10 or so people going in on this. Cruising, showing.. whatever.. I'm up for it

Sounds like an cool idea! I'm not totally sure on the demographics here, but it seems that most of you are in the north-east US, and the rest in around Illinois. I think that NY would be a good location to converge, considering it's not a far drive for the majority of you. It's a bit of a drive for me, but that's ok.
You know, even if we didn't do a show or anything, just for a lot of us to get together for dinner or whatever just for the social atmosphere that would be just as cool. I've only met up with people I knew on the internet a couple of times. Once from a boxing game, just for a beer, and another time for a concert. It's still good times regardless of what we do. If we could time it for a car show that would be fantastic.

Yeah I like the idea. I spend my summers in Toronto, so somewhere in New York would be fine in July or early August.
We have a year to plan, so I'm sure we could find a good venue in that time.

I'm up for it! there's the Carlilse show in May, but that would be a difficult time for some people to get to, considering it's during the school year for a lot of people, including myself. So yes, I think the summer would be a good time to make this happen. If I find out about any car shows during summer in my area, I'll let eveyone know.

This all sounds good. I'd certainly be happy to offer up Buffalo as a possible meeting place, and once we get closer we can finalize through private messages and stuff about the exact location. I definitely know of a couple people here that would come. Chris240SX would definitely show, and I know another guy who would be thrilled to go to a meet. Like Webstad was saying, we could all just go out to dinner and pop open the hoods of our cars. Simple stuff like that would be a lot of fun.

Well, I know if we held it around the Chicago area where Johnnyboy rules the roads I'd certainly be able to make it. We'll see about NY but I'm totally up for the idea.

Just thought I'd post it under here, because well, I'm gonna mention it.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a sweet 2009.. filled with lots of automotive bliss.
Perhaps Late Spring/Summer of 09 we can get a little meet/cruise night going?
