Default 84 Chevy Silverado

My dad has been asking how much he should ask for a 1984 Chevy Silverado. I've been to a ton of trade-in sites, but no one goes back to 1984. So I was wondering if anyone new how much he should ask for it, or if there is a site I can go to to find out how much he should ask for it? I thank you for your help.

Price it to how other 84/85 Silverados are going for depending on mileage and condition. Just check out craigslist, or better yet, cars.com / autotrader.com for a better look at the market.

It doesn't look like there are many around, so a good bet would be to price it to where you think it stands, or accept the best offer.

Depending on condition I would price it anywhere between $500 and $1000. I don't know what sort of condition or ammenities yours has however a quick appraisal from Edmunds.com using the sort of equipment you would find in most standard trucks from that era put you right in that price range for a clean example. I would say any more than $1000 for sure would be asking too much unless you want people to talk you down to a fair price you both agree on.
