Default How fast have you driven?

I was just thinking about this, I don't want to know if it was legal or not where you were, but what is the fastest you've driven in your car??

Me personally, would be around 110mph. It was a total accident too, I was angry at how slow people were going and how a semi truck cut me off, so I passed him the first chance I got. When I looked at the speedometer it said 110!! I was freaked! I slowed down to highway speeds once I got around that annoying truck.

Secondly, have any of you raced before?

Around 145-150mph or so, just once to see what it felt like. I didn't stay there but a second, cuz all I could think about was what a flat tire or some other malfunction would do at that speed and how much more likely it was to happen because of the added stresses. Afterwards I slowed down to what I thought was the speed limit and I looked down to see that I was still going 85 in a 55.

I've been to 110mph several times, because that's what my old Corvette did in the 1/4 mile at the drag strip which I did nearly every weekend for a couple years.

Again I don't encourage it, but (I was in the passenger seat :P) 96mph in a stoplight race.

I've hit 150 twice..... Once when I test drove a 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra... and another time in the Jag, just to see what it could do. I'd like to see if/where there is a governor on it, but I don't want to go any faster than 150.

I took the Jag to a drag-strip once too. Hit 107 on the 1/4 mile if I remember correctly.. it was 3 years ago.

145 on a CBR900RR, and 130 in my old Trans Am.

haha, you almost tapped the speedo. C'mon, what other cars actually low ball the speedometer. I mean seriously, Cobra gauges go up to 160.

Haha wow you guys have gone pretty crazy fast! If I had a clear stretch of highway to test my car's limit on, I would totally be there. But when I was doing 110 it was on a busy interstate where the speed limit was 70. Way too muck risk involved there!
