For "no reason"? They have to give a reason... or do you just think the reason wasn't significant enough?... and they cant keep your pay that you've already worked.

You'll eventually get paid for the time you put in. A large company like that isn;t gonna try to break that law for a few bucks.

i probably wont get paid, and boycott them because they do very low quality work and their products suck. I know because I'm an insider, I've seen the stuff they do. A couple times I've seen them purposely break things in order to get money

I prefer Midas or Firestone anyway if I have to take any of my cars to a shop. Better service, better tires and exhaust work, and the ones around here are trustworthy.

My father took his car to a Firestone in the area and they kept on increasing the price and "repairing" things. I believe he said the brakes were worse than when he arrived there. In my opinion, Firestone is worse than Goodyear, I never had any experience as a customer or employee at a Midas. Thankfully I go to an automotive technology school where labor is free and you learn during the whole process.

Well then, that'd make your firestone the exception and not necessarily the rule. I've been taking my cars to firestone for the past two years, they're quick and reliable, and so far they've had the best prices around. I've yet to have to redo any of their jobs or have any other shop fix mistakes from them. Midas generally costs more, but you're able to bring them used parts and have them do the install if it's a job you can't do yourself.

My goodyear F1s are the best tires I've ever had the pleasure of using. I've been through a few sets (of different tires), and by far the goodyears were the best. I can understand your frustration, but you'll get severance pay. They can't not pay you if you actually worked.. unless you were like an intern.

I don't think I've ever owned anything by Goodyear or taken my car to a Goodyear. But I think it is a little unfair to boycott a company because some kid got butthurt. Also, not every goodyear is going to be the same. That's like saying your experience at every BurgerKing would be the same. Franchises are owned and operated by different people. Different people do things a bit differently. Hopefully your Goodyear was a franchise because if it is corporate owned you should definitely get corporate in there to see the mess...or maybe you should get corporate in there to see the mess anyway.

And dont' worry they're going to pay you, they're legally required to. It might just be since you just started that they paperwork was still being shuffled around and so you weren't in the payroll system yet?

So please quit bashing all mechanics!! My buddy at Firestone and all his coworkers would never purposely break someone's car. The folks at Midas were good friends of mine as well. Not every place is going to have shady dealings.

fine, to satisfy Sai, boycott Goodyear store #0456 located on french and union roads in Cheektowaga, NY. I would trust DunnTire more than Goodyear
