Return of the 5.0
Return of the 5.0: Ford Exec confirms 400 hp 'Coyote' V8 coming in 2010
400hp and 400lb/ft torque for the new gt... not to mention a significant weight advantage over its competitors. I'm excited to see the numbers on this one!

Enjoy it while it lasts. With the "Cafe" legislature hitting the books as well as now looking into states setting individual EPA restrictions, there won't be many more years left for factory V-8's. Even though I am not a Ford fan, I do applaud them for a move such as this.

eh , honestly i dont really like it. I don't want to start a fight or anything but, what is the attraction with mustangs? I mean the performance is not that great compared to other muscle cars. This just an opinion, I dont want to start a fight, I just want to know.

mustangs have an awesome look and have an awesome exhaust note.. they can be made to preform better than other muscle cars... you buy a stang to modify it.. not to drive it stock.. thats why.. :-P ... and with the return of the 5.0 the power is back.. the original ones are great to mod.. the new ones should be even better!

Actually, they're significantly lighter than their counterparts from Chevy and Dodge, which sets them on a relatively even playing field. Just go on youtube and type in "terminator cobra". enough said =)

That is awesome to hear! Finally the return of the 5.0! and at the same Time that Ford's former counterpart Jaguar is now offering a new 5.0 in the XFR and the XKR in supercharged fashion.

I just read at AutoBlog that the 2011 5.0 will have 412 HP. Not bad.

yes.. 390 lb/ft of torque as well with a 6500rpm redline and a 6spd manual. Ford's trying to kick GM in the nuts.
