Smile Mustang Obsidian

hey all,
I don't know if anyone has posted anything about them yet but I'm in love with this car. I first saw it in my hot rod magazine and fell in love.
What does everyone else think about it?

It is a pretty good looking resto mod. The hood needs to GO though that is a little much.

No it needs to stay. It obviously serves its purpose, those flaps probably open up and let air get to the the dual intercoolers.

Nice ass car though.

I think it is more for looks than it is for function. For a intercooler to work correct the air has to go through the fins of the cooler. That hood does not direct air through the intercooler unless it were sliding sideways at a very high speed.

The intercoolers sitting on top of the motor and the hood are all for cosmetic. If they were going for all out function and performance they would never have placed the intercoolers on top of the motor like that. The engine generates major heat, heat rises and heatsoaks the intercooler. here is openings in front of the scoop but it would do no more than move the hot air around and does not force cooler air through the fins on the intercooler.

Yeah, I think a liquid-to-air charge cooler system would have worked better in this application unless they can manage to horse-shoe in a front mount system. Other than that this thing is a beast. I personally would have liked to see a different steering wheel and a gauge cluster that doesn't look like a bit of a Pep-Boys-AutoMeter-Throw-Together sort of job, but now I'm just being nit-picky.

the only thing that looks weird is the headlights... they're new and look out of place. The hood is fine and functional.. I'd just get headlights off a '67

did you notice the MASSIVE dual intercoolers on top of the engine? The way that hood is designed it works for heat extraction on the side and induction on the front.

OH OK I agree it helps remove some heat from the engine bay.

I thought you was saying it was functional as in forcing air over the intercoolers to make them work correct!

It's neat, but I'd just rather have a Saleen Dark Horse.
