Default Drool (2010 GT500)

Seeing pictures of this thing, I'd have to say in my opinion, it's one of the best looking cars out there. The lines are curvy yet robust, and that front fascia screams. I love it. I guess it's gonna be powered by the current KR powerplant.. so 540hp and 510 lb/ft tq. Hey.. not a new powertrain, but this car looks really incredible.. especially in that muscle car blue. Check it out and share your thoughts.

Cool... except the hood intakes... I don't care for those at all.

I agree with Johnnyboy... the hood intakes don't look great.. overall I like the car, but I wish they'd done something more with the dash... the center cluster and that metallic plastic trim looks so cheap. I like the seats though.

It is a beautiful car, I'll give it that. But some of the pictures I have seen of the 2010 Mustangs indicate that it is still a solid rear axle, can anyone confirm or deny this?

The hood is functional... so I don't really mind the style given that it works. I think the rim choice for the GT500 was well done, and as far as the interior goes, I mean, it still is a muscle car.. I don't know.. I wouldn't expect the interior of a Bentley in my Shelby.

Confirmed. I'm so-so on it. IRS matters if you're gonna be tracking the car, but just for street fun, a live axle can be a lot of fun.. take my word for it! If you want an IRS Mustang, the only ones ever built were the 03-04 Cobras.. IMO, the best Mustangs ever.

Oh my god, my brothers friend who cant be in my brothers little camaro club cause hes got a cobra, but yeah. I rode in it one day, that thing is a F**king animal man. And of course they had their little fun racing on route one, and of course the cobra won. my brothers camaro has like really good acceleration from 30-70 it gets there in like a 2 seconds haha. but yeah the 04 cobra is a beast. haha

haha uh oh.. a little smack talk here. Haha, year for year, Camaros have always been faster than Mustangs (stock v stock), but Mustangs always sold better.

Keeping on topic.... I wouldn't expect a Bentley interior, but some higher quality materials would be nice. Something on a par with the BMW 3 series, or an Infiniti G isn't too much to ask for in my opinion.
My close friend has a 2007 GT500 and the interior is really no nicer than a Mustang GT, other than the gauges, shifter and seat bolsters.

I don't know.. me being me.. it's about what's under the hood, not the interior. In fact, a Mercedes-Benz salesman told me that "it's what's under the hood that lasts, because technology in cars will always get better, and there will always be a new thing." I guess it comes down to personal preference. If I'm buying any sort of performance car, all I really care about is mean looks and an engine to match.

It seems we've reached an impass

i agree.. if you want a BMW interior then go buy a BMW... this is a muscle car.. not a luxury car.. its raw and powerful... lol GT500 would beat a LT1 camaro...
