I would have liked to see that motor in a Jaguar supercar or something before Ford had sold them or something. Maybe once Ford is back on their feet a variant of that engine could make its way into a supercar.

i would want a V10 in the ford GT ... that would be sick.. ford isn't doing as bad as GM... i can't wait to see this truck on the roads.... ford could make bigger blocks/engines for their mustang line... like a 5.0L or a 6.0L for mustang.... beside the shelby GT500 fords mustangs are 4.6L i think they need more to them.. the fact that ford has a tri flex fuel engine is amazing... it will be wicked... they put alot of thought into this

It's a great idea, but I doubt something like that will go into production so soon.

The Ford GT and the Shelby GT500 use the 5.4L Engine..

Back on topic I like the looks of that truck... I just don't know if it's the right time for it.

Well to be frank the large trucks and suvs are taking the hardest hit from the currently economic downturn, so much so that GM for example has axed all of its large SUVs except for the Escalade, but that they are moving to a smaller platform. Small cars are what the general buyer is in the market for lately.

Well it's a terrible time with the economy in the state it is... people are buying and Ford couldn't afford to produce it at this point.

well.. i hope ford will produce this when the ecinomic times are better... or they could make a V8 that will consume less fuel and they could make it smaller

I always thought cylinder deactivation was a good idea if perfected.

that is a good idea... ford should work on that... now that would make this thing even sicker... if it could deactivate cylinders...

To bust all of your balls, the number 1 selling car/truck this year was the Ford F-150, followed by the Chevrolet Silverado in slot 2. People need trucks.

People need them, but the average city-dwelling buyer doesn't, and that is where the demand is suffering and going towards smaller vehicles.

Exactly. And there isn't much demand for high performance trucks right now.. mostly work vehicles.
