Ok, you have a car with a ford focus engine. All that might get you to 150hp. You would really spend thousands on forged internals, tuning, piping, and a turbo, etc. to make your escort fast? You are the biggest ricer on this site. Haha. Why don't you just put a body kit on it while your at it. Good luck racing a mustang

I'll but a pic of it whenever I do. And Chris, you do not know what a ricer is... I love the sound of that engine at W.O.T. I never get tired of it Me and my friend Kao drove out of the parking lot of the a Wilson's Farms really fast (i was doing about 20-25 MPH) and we nearly missed hitting a oncoming car and i jerked the wheel hard to dodge it. i scared the **** out of him and it was hilarious.

If anyone had sense in their head, the Escort was NEVER known for power of any kind. The other why would anyone want to spend all that money into that car, and still only make 200hp TOPS. The engine was never designed to run forced induction. Why not take and buy something that can go fast that doesn't need a 'body kit' to make it only look fast.

Sorry I have pitty on people that like their little Accords, or Civics that love to race up and down the streets thinking their oversized go-karts with body kits and coffee cans are fast. I will put ANY of them up against my LS and let them have a chance.

The other problem you run into, the transmission will not last with that power. I know the CD4E transmission, that is in that car. IT SUCKS. I have rebuilt many of them, the Ford Probe used it as well.

Not to take and shoot some dreams down, if you take and build the Escort up, let all of us know. Well have a race, drag or street either way, don't matter to me.
My Lincoln LS at WOT hits 6600 Rpm at 40mph, in probably half the time it would take the escort.

The problem you run into, the car was never designed for power. By the time you spend all that money into a car like the Escort, you might as well have bought a mustang and be pushing about 400-500hp rather than maybe 150-200tops in the Escort. I'm not saying it can't be done, why would anyone want to spend all the time into fabrication, tuning, building, setup, on an Escort. I have to admit, there have been people that I have seen take a Geo Metro and build the engine to handle a turbo, dynoed at 212 hp. But the car wasn't a street driver, it was built for the race track. Yea it was faster than any other Geo out there, I took my Lincoln LS with 3.8L V8, 5spd automatic, RWD with minor modifications and walked all over him on Miller Motorsports Track. We took 5 laps, 10 cars total. The metro took 8th, I had passed him once, almost twice. I took third only behind a supercharger NSX and a Z06 Vette with twin turbo.
Now if I was to take and perform some better mods like a super charger, suspension, better exhaust, Tuner, then I would be pushing well over 300hp in my Lincoln. I've been a mechanic for about 8 years now, and none of the "BACKYARD think I know what I am talking about" stuff. I have spent those 8 years at dealerships, with certifications. I might know just a little bit about working on cars.

I actually raced a current generation Mustang GT convertible down Abbott Rd. in Lackawanna, I won. One time i was turning onto Potters Rd. and I heard a modified import. I looked around and it was a modded 350Z 1 car ahead. I wanted to catch up to it and try to outrun it bit some dumb bitch in a Volvo was blocking me, purposely going slow and wouldn't let me pass. The 350 turned right onto Slade and disappeared cuz I had to go straight.
