Default GT500KR $79,995

Ford has recently priced the Shelby Mustang GT500KR at $79,995. 1,000 units is planned for 2008. Power is 540 hp and 510 lb-ft. of torque up from 500 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque in the standard GT500. Some lightening from a carbon fiber hood and other bits are also included.

Seems a bit pricey to me, but I suppose deep pocketed Mustang fans will be willing to pay it just for bragging rights of owning one of the few top dog production Mustangs.

Yeah that does seem like a lot considering that's almost Viper territory, but if manhood ever came in a car, it would look like that ^

Yeah for that kind of money you'd think you'd finally get individual rear suspesion instead of a solid live rear axle.

No kidding... but honestly, I like that about my car. The fact that the end does kick out easily. I do think they need to offer that as a factory option however, so those who want it can have it. Didn't the SVT Cobras have IRS?

Well, the main reason the use a solid live axle is to keep the cost down. Which is why the Mustang is so great. Lotsa power for cheap. But, when you get up around those kind of figures, it should definatley have individual rear suspension.

That's a good amount of power for the money, my only problem is that it is a $80,000 car that still looks like a $40,000 car.

Just because his family owns a Cadillac CTS-V doesn't mean they can go buy a $80K car on a whim. Not by a long shot.

You seem to have issues with people that you feel have more money than you. I certainly hope I'm wrong because you will need these people on your own journey to reach whatever level of prosperity that you choose.
