Default Mustang Puts Up a Fight

Ford just released the plans for the 2010 Mustang. A new 6.2 litre 400hp V8 for the GT. From the sound of it, that's aimed right at the Camaro, not to mention how sexy it looks. Thoughts?

That thread is inaccurate and shows a picture of a 2009 Italian designed mustang, which looks nothing like the new one. The new one looks awesome, basically a GT without fog-lights in the grille and GT500KR wheels. Car and Driver has pictures, but none are on the web yet. This new one should be awesome, because it also apparently got a big interior upgrade.

I would like a TT V6 Mustang for drag but a V8 Mustang for circuit or a race with corners involved

I don't like that as much as the current generation, they should keep the current design or scrap that one. To me it looks like the Mustang's in-bred hillbilly brother

I really like the way that looks. It's like a newer Mustang II.

Yikes. I wouldn't compare it to a Mustang II. Concidering the Mustang IIs were merely thinly disguised Pintos. (sorry to any Mustang II owners)

haha, I meant like in headlight design, how they're expanding it width wise. They're kind of just reclimbing the chain of design from the originals... but now they're finally putting enough power to back it up.

It's a Mustang! It's big, bad, and American! An Italian shouldn't design it. That's what's so cool about the Mustang: it's the god of the Temple of Torque
