Default Lotus 2-Eleven

The Lotus 2-Eleven is a car produced by British car manufacturer Lotus. It it based on the Lotus Exige S, and thus has the same supercharged 2ZZ-GE engine. Weighing 670 kg (1477 lb) and with 252 bhp (188 kW), the 2-Eleven can sprint from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h). Intended as a track day car, it costs £39,995 though for an additional £1,100 Lotus will make the car fully road legal.
Slight differences exist between the track and road versions, where the track car is slightly longer, at 3872 mm (152.4 in) and lighter at 666 kg (1468 lb).

I think this is the track version, but it looks nice. I'm not very much impressed by the power outout though

Well, Lotus gets all its performance from super light weight. The Exige only has 190HP and the S version 218HP, but they can run with cars with over twice the horsepower, because they weight nearly half as much.

You can probably increase their output by increasing the boost pressure on the supercharger (or turbocharger, if equiped) and modifying the gear ratios on the transmission. May have to stengthen the driveline to handle the increase.

I hope the road legal version comes with a windshield. I do love lotus. They make such *cute* cars.

I like to think cute can also mean fearsome!

Doesn't Shelby's dad have something like that? That's a pretty cool car!

What, you don't like that? I heard bugs are loaded in protein!

In all seriousness, all the Elise-based cars Lotus puts out are, quite frankly, incredible machines. For a car putting out 250bhp, to do 0-60 in less than 4 seconds is phenomenal. What this car has in advantage is handling. These cars are like high-powered go-karts, only with supercar type performance. I'd LOVE to get my hands on one! $80,000USD? Sign me up!

it is really cool, don't get me wrong, but the exhaust note sounds like a weed wacker.

That's what you get from a 2.0L 4 cylinder. This is why ricers tend to sound more like lawnmower tractors (and perform like them too, oddly enough) when you go with a cat-back exhaust and bigger tail-pipes. Quite unlike a muscle car (which sounds like musical thunder).
