What's your favorite Porsche?
I like nearly all of them except the Cayenne

I'd have to go with the 911 (997) GT3. A beautiful car, and definitely not for image purposes. That thing is a track machine.

I've read somewhere that that car was the first Porsche to break the 200 mph mark

Hmmm the 911 GT2 or the Carrera GT?
I reckon I'll have to go with the Carrera GT.

I actually think the GT3 tops out at 193mph.. but the GT2 does over 200.

GT2 = racier version of 911 Turbo
GT3 = racier verison of 911
A lot of people get confused between the GT2 and GT3. Many think the higher number should be the more powerful car.

Yeah the GT2 uses the Turbos. It's cool, but I love Natural Aspiration.. which is why I prefer the GT3.

I don't like turbochargers that much, only if the car is gonna be running straight, I prefer N/A or a supercharger on circuit cars and road cars. I don't like turbo lag one bit.

Yeah I agree, but there are instances where it's really fun. I had a friend with an older GTI Turbo... in first gear.. you literally thought you were going to die from going so slow... until the turbos actually kick in, then it's just crazy. But apparently Porsche developed a no-lag turbo system, so go figure.

never heard of it, must be ball-bearing turbos or something set for low to mid rpm range

The Carrera GT is the ultimate Porsche in my mind, that engine is one of the most beautiful sounding ones I've ever heard. If I had to chose a Porsche that I could actually afford though, I think I have to go with the Cayman or Boxster. The engine is still in the wrong place with the 911 I think, plus tuning shops like Farnbacher Loles do engine swaps and vehicle upgrades for the Cayman, giving it the power of the 911 with the more optimal weight distribution of a mid-engine layout.

Cayman
I'm Going to have to go with the Cayman, Definetly a sweet car with power and looks, not to mention the good fuel economy. A boxer with more power.

Never really thought much about Porsche, but I've been considering buying a Boxster or Cayman for my next car, they're the luxury cars that I could actually afford (possibly!)

with so many options Porsche provides and the aftermarket support, how can you go wrong?
