I've personally never heard of it, and BMW claims its the first of its kind...

I kinda like them too. They seem to follow a similar concept as Infiniti's FX series, which I reallly like aswell.

I think the style is pretty fresh and awesome, however I struggle to think of anyone wanting a utility vehicle styled like a car, with performance like a car and no more storage capacity than a car. I assume they're out there though, otherwise BMW wouldn't be making the X6. I'd rather have an M-car myself if I wanted performance and usability.

I generally like what BMW has to put out, but I'm so-so on this car. I feel it's more of a Euro-market car.. similar to how the wagon is big over there. I'm not sure, but I'm curious to see how it drives. I agree with mesarius, I'd definitely prefer an M3 or M5.
