Default Challenger SRT10 concept

I've hinted at it a couple of times already, and some of you may already be aware of it (and do beware), but here it is:

SEMA 2008: Challenger SRT10 Concept ultimate response to not having a HEMI in that thing

I think this is a worthy replacement for the fabled Viper.

lol you are very particular on how an engines makes it's power aren't you?
I don't see how 2 more cylinders is a waste. It allows them to have a displacement that their V8s can't reach. That 8.4 liters of displacement gives their V10s monster torque. You could fill every seat with the heaviest people you know while towing a full size camper.... and it would still put down the same 0-60 times... and I know a few people that would consider that a practical scenario.

I personally think V10's have one of the best engine notes too. I would definitely consider this a worthy replacement of the Viper and make the Challenger a contender against the lighter and more powerful Mustangs and Camaros. Plus the concept has the Musclecar worthy ram air induction on top of the motor like like the old days. I give it two thumbs up and my gearhead seal of approval! Maybe with Fiat's help they can do something about that interior.

V10s can be really badass if you can manage to keep the weight down. The Viper is an incredible machine. However, IMO, the Challenger is too big for that kind of engine where as the Viper (somehow) makes the monster 8.4L V10 handle incredibly well.

I'll just say it while I'm here too.. Chrysler/Fiat is a crap partnership. GM is dead too.. just my 2 cents.

I think that the muscle cars should just be left with the grand ol v8. I couldnt imagine a v10 muscle car, nor does it attract me. If the challenger is retro, keep it that way and keep the Hemi in it.

I do like the viper and its power source, but thats a super car and it should be kept, not replaced.
