Obama has nothing to do with the Viper being cancelled, that all falls on Chrysler's poor management of assets and failure to run a profitable company.

I blame the split of Mercedes Benz and Chrysler because after the split, Chrysler lost a lot of the technology that was shared.

And On our Presidents Part:
I think hes still a poor excuse of a president.

But thats off topic.

The Viper has been a loss for Dodge from day 1. The cars were not good street cars and were questionable track cars. Every year they were in production they lost money on the car because they could not sell enough of them.

These cars do have a pretty good following however "most" are older guys that buy them and if they do take them to a track it is for a follow the leader "speed event". If you have never been to one of these viper meets it is actually quite funny to watch, it is like watching a fast paced parade. I have drove a couple and they were neat but not what I would call impressive.

I would argue that's not true if you're a decent driver. The newer ones have ABS, which is really all you need. Now I'm sure most guys driving them are scared to really push them to the limit, but when they are pushed, they can be blazing fast. The 600hp Viper which was updated in '08 hot laps faster than a Z06
