One of my dad's friends bought one, were looking forward to smoking him in a race and putting it on youtube. He might get it supercharged, then we would have a good race.

yeah, you have the weight advantage and at this point, horsepower. if it's an auto, I'm not sure if even a supercharger could help him against a 500rwhp Gt500.

an auto with a high stall or shift kit is better than a manual ANY day.

The stock auto is no good. And maybe in a straight line, but automatics really do suck when it comes to tracking. Sure the paddle shifters are wicked fast, but I don't know.. they're just not... proper.

manuals are so much better and fun, autos dont know when to downshift going into a corner, or when to downshift from a roll, no power-shifting either, manual is the way to go, plus the challenger has a bad ass pistol grip shifter if im right

I've seen a few SRT8's going around here, even parked next to one, I must say for the money people spend for those cars it really would have been nice to not see a budget plastic interior. Even the seats look plasticy.

Yeah, the interior is a definate let down. A modern take on the classic interior would have been nice... but they went generic Dodge.

It is on topic! Auto vs manual and gearing ratios.

The topic of this thread is the Dodge Challenger. I have moved the other posts to a new thread:
