Default New CD Player?

Thinking of putting a new CD player in my stang and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to purchase? Currently I have a 6 year old Sony Xplod. Nothing wrong with it, but it's just looking to out of date!

i wont recomend you buying a stereo with screen. it can cause you get out of control of your car. so its better a stereo that has mp3, or ipod conection (if you have one)

Well I bought my car mp3 player a few years ago now but when I did I researched it here:

JVC had the best bang for the buck in my price range at the time, but I'm not really a hardcore audio guy.

It doesn't seem many people post there anymore... I really need to clean out my favorites folder, some of the links are getting a bit stale

i used for a long time a tape that was connected to my iPod and this year i finally decided to buy a decent Mp3 player. it's made by Kenwood, but don't know any details of it. it works pretty good until now.

A little late response, but I actually bought a used pioneer unit from a friend of mine. It was pretty new, just a year old or so. It works pretty good and I only paid $85.00

In my experience with numerous cars and headunits, I've found Pioneer headunits and speakers to be the clearest and best. Blaupunkt makes awesome headunits but only decent speakers.

Go pioneer.

I've had good luck with Pioneer and Alpine, however Pioneer has some cheaper units if you on a budget. Plus most of their units come with USB on the front so you can hook your mp3 player to it, and some starting around $250ish come with bluetooth. If you're looking for full iPod controlability then Alpine has a unit set up with full control for the iPod.
