I was just doing a little more looking and I came across a brand called Commando Alarm Systems. They apparently have a system similar to the Viper with the LCD remote telling you which sensor was tripped, and they also have automotive monitoring systems (not alarm systems) that come with a pager and tell you if someone is messing with your car, including if the doors are open or if the engine was started. Does anyone have any experience with Commando, are they reliable systems?

That's pretty awesome. I would want something that would kind of hurt the guy who was trying to break in.

Yeah, but I'm with him. I would love to find a system to bring a world of pain to anyone messing with my car. Maybe electrocute somebody opening the door if the alarm is going off. I'd still like to find an automotive video system that would activate a camera that would send video to my phone or computer so I have evidence of who was messing with my car.

why dont you hook up a 100k coil for a distributor to a spot on your car, that way when someone makes the contact they get one hell of a shock!!! only problem you couldn't have the coil turned on all the time, it would drain your battery and the coil would burn up.

If you are breaking into my car you better hope I don't have anything with me when I catch you, an electrical shock would do you less harm!! I have much DISRESPECT for people like that, I work my ass off just to have what I do have.
