Question 1987 Mercedes Benz 190e

I heard from a guy that if I wanted to put an aftermarket audio system in my car, than I'd have to wire it to all sorts of stuff, and it would basically destroy my A/C and blah blah blah, in short, it'd cause a whole lot of problems...since I'm only 15 and "aftermarket audio problems on a 190e" doesn't return alot of good searches on Google, I'm stumped...any help?

I am certainly no car audio expert, but I can't imagine it causing any problems unless the stock alternator doesn't have any extra juice to give. I googled "cd player 190e mercedes" and found several people who've installed aftermarket cd players in them with no mention of a alternator upgrade, so I'd go for it.

www.crutchfield.com claims that your mercedes has standard 4" speakers that you should be able to find anywhere, including their site. If you want to stay German, get Blaupunkt speakers, as I did in my BMW.

I discovered that it isn't so difficult to install a new audi system, only when the speakers are available in the necessary size. My 1998 volvo I used to have had a weird size and I couldnt find it at all. In my 1985 BMW 525e, it has smaller speakers but they're available.
