They're trying to pin it up against American muscle cars... quite frankly, I'm pretty sure it's gonna have its ass handed to it.

I almost bought a 2003 Tiburon today. The only reason why I didn't was because I was reading reviews online and I guess that year has some major drivetrain issues, like clutches burning out after 15k miles.

The new Genesis coupe has a 3.8 liter V6 pumping around 300 hp, and it can hang with the best of them from the New Camaro to the 370z for a lot less

I would certainly consider getting the V6 Genesis coupe. It is a great looking car, powerful, rear drive, and the price is right. Next time I am car shopping I know it'll be on my list of potentials. They make a pretty good sound too.

I would probably recommend looking at a different manufacturer if you are going to buying a car thats from the early 2000's. Although Hyundai is a much, much better company than it once was, and a lot of people still think of them as unreliable Korean junk even though it is much improved, in my opinion the early 2000 models are still not quite up to par. I would recommend looking at cars such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima (if you want a midsize sedan). But if you can afford a 2004 or newer Hyundai Sonata, that would be my top pick. The Sonata was redesigned in 2004 and is a much better car than the previous Sonata.
