Refuse to buy a Toyota
nope, not a racist, but guess I'm just a "Buy American redneck boy from Kentucky"
Yeah, right now, they are probably building better vehicles (actually I know they are), but it's either GM or Chrysler for me
Any of you feel the same way or am I being stubborn??

I know where you're coming from. I have yet to buy an import car although there are many that I love. Some day, I'm sure I will eventually buy one, but being from a relatively small town in the midwest, there is some pressure to buy American. Well, maybe "pressure" isn't the right word. It's not like it'll be torched by a buncha rednecks or something. It's just that they aren't respected as much around here. Maybe it boils down to something as childish as bragging rights. When you buy a new car, you'd kinda like to show it off to everyone and make them envy you Well, around where I live not many are impressed by an import unless it's something exotic.

If you could take a spin in my Supra you would change your mind. it is like an american muscle car that can handle. there engines are so easy to modify. you can get well over 400 horsepower with just bolt on modifications.

I will admit, when it comes to budget friendly vehicles, as well as good 'ole raw power, the American auto manufacturers certainly do it best. Plus with how the auto industry has been in recent years for the Big Three, they could use all the help they can get. I wouldn't completely advocate limiting yourself to only American vehicles, but I certainly recommend anyone looking for a new car to at least consider some American vehicles, there are some pretty good ones going around regardless of what submarket you are after.

I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla VE it is a great car even though the only thing on it that is automatic is the transmission but it is a fun little "zip zip"

What toyota is is the best car for the money in the segments that they are in the corolla beats everything pretty much to shreds when it ocomes to fuel ecomnomy and reliabilty. the camry rules in its segment when it comes to efficiency except fot the honda accord. So for the segments that they are in they rule them. to be honest i would rather get a camry accord or mazda 6 even the new impala or malibu. But i would rather get a mustang or a challenger than a rx8 so the americans have there strong points in terms of "muscle" but when it comes to economy which is what the name of the game is right now toyota wins.

I support you 100%. Buy American and you are more likely to help other Americans in the JOB district.
Gm is now offering employee sale incentive. which means you can save a ton and help other pioneer the American dream.
I never own a import in my life and don`t plan on owning one. I work on 90% Import (machine). Most import are not build to last on the American Hi-way. we must stop buying imports, because the American car company`s are getting the wrong idea. Buying import will force the American company to compete in import junk/slave labor work. Ford is already doing it, by moving to Mexico to create 1 million non-u.s. jobs. You could move to Mexico if you think this will help the u.s. economy .
TOYota .toys are for kids, so stop behaving stupid/un-supportive and grow-up.

Most of these import company support the enemies during American wars. like you are about to see the Chinese siding with Russia.

So now you are putting America down after constantly praising it, and mocking people who don't buy American cars?
And by the way, say what you want, but Toyota builds a nice quality car. It's a matter of fact. Their cars ARE built to last... and ON AVERAGE they are more dependable and higher quality than MOST American cars. The American car companies have realized this and seem to be trying to improve their quality... Toyota's (for the most part) are not performance cars, and I agree that the Prius is ugly beyond belief, but you can't deny their cars are high quality and good value.
