Yeah I read somewhere where they put one on a chasis dyno and it put out over 500 HP at the wheels. So, if true that would put the real number at around 550+ HP at the crank.

I talked to a well connected friend of mine recently, and he said that the GTRs are going for over $100,000 right now, and the wait list is a year and a half. Apparently there is more demand than cars being made.

Truthfully Im not a huge fan of the GT-R
mainly because it stole the thunder from the Lamborghini Reventon at the LA Auto Show last year

and thats not cool

I'm surprised that's even in the showroom long enough for them to go to the supply closet and get the velvet rope. With the demand for one of those I would expect someone there trading in their old grey import R33 or third-hand Ferrari for one of those. I know if I had $100k and knew a dealer near by hand one, especially in black, I'd be out there driving it out of the showroom before they had a chance to rope it off.

People who are dropping 6 figures on a car would rarely look at something like this, and that's a shame. Gosh, if I had to choose between an SL500 and this.. there would be no contest. (I'd take the GTR for the record)
