Default 91 240sx build

This is the build thread. I started doing things, but im not full of cash so im buying things little by little for the 5 speed swap. I'm selling my bike this week for 300 so thats most of the money right there.

Plans with in this year:
5 speed swap
seats
headunit(the one in there blows huge cock)
cold air intake
muffler(ill do the piping later)
Brembo Rotors
paint a couple parts
strut bars
rims

Things Ordered:
Shift boot
muffler

Things Completed:
Sleepy Eyes

DAY 1:

Well what i did today was take out the spare tire and the straps(that was a bitch to get to this one screw. haha), I also did the sleepy eyes modification, which took about 25 minutes. And I also broke my hood prop because i have no idea how it happened. but its very broke as you might be able to see. hahaa

PICS:

They can go alot lower. but those are my liked levels. hah

Coming from experience, don't put in a nice head unit unless you have full tint and/or a good car alarm. Every car I've owned has been broken in to except for the Monte, and the only reason why I haven't switched the head unit in that yet is because I don't have either of those. Broken windows aren't cheap, nor is replacing a stolen stereo.

Quick question chris.
Do you have any experience hooking up a voltage guage? I'm probably going to get one, because its nice to have. Because my batterys like deadish. haha

nope, ive never done a voltage gauge, my turbo timer has a built in volt meter, but I'm sure it cant be that hard. You might have to take the dash out though...that only takes like 30 mins...for me at least lol.

Most aftermarket volt gauges just use a ignition power and a ground.

Here is a easy diagram for you!

yea a volt gauge is pretty self explanatory. just a 12 volt constant and a ground, like vette said.

hahah yeah same, cause id help you with the engine swap even though i don't know much, its a good learning experience haha.

So my dad announced that when he retires i get his project truck, all his tools, his 20,000 snap on box, his other snap on box, all the hunter equipment(tire mount, balancer etc etc), Alignment lift, and the regular lift, the parts washer, and all the organizers(theres like 80 of them stocked with bolts and screws, wheel weights, washers, lock washers, then the other things with the battery cables, clamps, brake parts, etc etc. SO MUCH STUFF! hahaha. and he might retire next year. I'm so excited haha.

yea pretty much my first pull was me watching my friend pull my cars engine, with me helping here and there. then the next time, it was me doing the whole pull. it was fun lol....taking a whole engine+tranny out of a car is a great experience.

Alright so today i tackled the no starting problem...well somewhat..

Step 1:
what youll need(parts wise)

A battery cable that you where excited to find in your garage, and ripped it open.

Step 2:

Disconnect it from the intake manifold.

Step 3:

Disconnect the battery and take it out.

Step 4:

RIP THAT **** OUT!(that was hard.

Step 5:

Put the new one in.

STEP 6:
Get pissed because it still wont start,(im getting my battery tested tuesday and then probably getting a new one.)
And i also traded some dude a broken 900 watt amp for these.

However, I tried to hook them up but like there was existing wire, and like idk it was all mangled..But like idk I think im just gonna craigslist them both or just buy all new wire, i ripped all the existing wire out. but have no clue on how to wire it, my brother started to help but then quit half way in so i just freaked out. haha.
