Default My Japanese Machine.

Since I couldn't find any kinda of introduction section, I'll introduce myself here and my car.

Name is Michael, and I'm from New Zealand.

I currently drive a 1991 Model Toyota Soarer Limited V8, or more commonly know in the USA as a Lexus SC400 Coupe.

Here's a few pictures of my current one, I've had quite a few of these in the past and found I like this well optioned model the most so will stick with it for a few years.

Since I've had it Ive mainly been upgrading small things here and there, repairing and restoring neglected bits to bring it back to its former new state, currently I'm rebuilding the heads, replacing gaskets, re-painting the engine and doing the usual 62k mile servicing such as the water pump, belts, leads etc.

Should be quite good when its back on the road.... will be sorting out the exhaust in the new year, upgrading the brakes to larger Lexus LS400 4 & 2 pot ones plus a few more things later in the year like a set of 18" BBS alloys.

Here's my Soarer anyway.

Great looking car Michael! It's incredibly clean. I have a lot of respect for that. Keep us posted on the progress.

We don't really have an introduction section here. Most people just introduce themselves on their homepages.

Regardless, welcome aboard!

Looks good. I agree with Asher, the engine bay is exceptionally clean

Thanks guys,

Since I've been rebuilding most of the upper parts of the engine over summer I also took the time out to paint up the intake manifolds red. Have more to do yet but so far very happy with the result.

Pics show it as a bit orange but its flame red and black. Far better than the boring aluminium gray.

Can't wait till it all goes back on the car!
