Cool but I wish they put in footage of the engine bay.

Nothing like the sound of a Chevy V8. This is total guesswork, but assuming they were using a stock LS1 in a stock weight miata, that's close to 350hp per ton!

Normally I would have a problem with this sort of swap, but Mazda never really made an engine as powerful as an LS1 and so it isn't like swapping the engine from a competitor. It's more like moving the MX5 up a few classes from cute little girly roadster to "OMG My face has been ripped off!!"

if you watch gearz at all stacy did a swap in a miata and put a conversion kit on it it looked like an e type jag had an affair with a ferrari convertible and out popped his miata it looked nice!
